On 24th June 2022 in Owendo, the CEO of La Société Gabonaise d'Entreposage de Produits Pétroliers (SGEPP), Mr. Félix Andy Makindey-Nze Nguema, hosted a delegation of investors from the Czech Republic led by the head of VAE CONTROLS, Mr. Martin Pecina, in the presence of the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Mr. Ambroise Banas Germain. The topic of the meeting was investment and business opportunities in Gabon.
VAE CONTROLS, s.r.o. has successfully passed the certification of quality management, project and environmental management, as well as safety information management and occupational health and safety management according to the required ČSN standards.
With the support of a grant from the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic, we are working together with VSB - Technical University Ostrava to develop a special range of security modules and devices (e.g. for biometric voice authentication and a virtual printer to increase operational security) that will be a part of the TAMAS - control system for terminals and petroleum product storages.
In April 2022 were successfully installed and commissioned grounding testers EGT4 at the tanktruck terminal Owendo which highly increases the operation safety.
The project deals with R&D for the creation of three software modules of a control system for fuel storage facilities contributing to the protection of life, health and property in explosion hazardous environments and helping to protect the environment in the petrochemical industry.
